Most of our clients these days do request some form of security for the front of the home. It is generally an important part of the brief, that feeling of being safe & secure within the perimeters of their own home. This is often achieved through fencing and a gate entry for visitors. We always install some sort of security pin code on the front entry gate, but some clients prefer to have an intercom system connected to a screen inside the house so that they can view potential visitors before entering the home. This additional level of security creates a lot of comfort for our clients in creating a safe home. Features like mood lighting, landscaping, cladding & stonework often add greatly to the aesthetic of the front entry.
The perfect entry way into a home can NEVER be overlooked! First impressions really count and by playing on a range of textures, colours, shapes, and sizes you can truly inject the front of your home with real personality and style!
Here are some designs we are loving that really give that WOW-factor as people enter your home and the SAFE-factor too!
Caulfield by Cos Designs’ entry way features include; limestone walls, a wrap over aluminium arbour, aluminium entry gate with security intercom system and soft landscaping completing this architectural entrance.
Barrancas House by Ezequiel Farca + Cristina Grippins uses materials such as marble, stone and wood, in combination with natural shades of green and brown, to connect the inner home to the outer earth. The solidarity of the timber front entry door certainly creates a sense of safety & security for the residence, whilst when open really connects both the entry & open living space.
