We are excited to share our own dream home renovation! After seeing our clients’ dreams come to life time and time again, we decided it was finally time to bite the bullet and turn our tired little cottage into something fresh, new and exciting!

We are turning our 1930’s Workers Cottage into a modern open plan home big enough for our family of five! As part of our design brief for this home, we wanted to keep our existing ‘Workers Cottage’ in its original form while creating a better flow & use of space throughout. The bones of our humble abode tell a story, and are a part of our history, thus we are keeping so much of it’s character to remain with us over the next stage of living in our home. As with many homes built in the 1930’s, storage was not a huge part of home design, thus storage is fundamental feature of the design brief for our renovation. Think custom joinery, built in robes and a hotly anticipated ‘Mud Room’ to help in our busy lives. Another key focus of our design is to create a deeper connection with the outdoors, specifically garden and pool area. We have worked with our good friend and expert Stuart Osman to help us achieve our vision and desired floorplan. It was important to create a better flowing home to ensure we have our own space in the home whilst having spaces to come together for connection. Although our final design features many beautiful and high-end finishes it truly incorporates a ‘laid back’ feel to evoke a balanced sense of fun, calm & playfulness.
